Bookings and Payment
Once you have chosen your log cabin and checked availability, bookings can be made online, by telephone or email. Aurora accepts most Credit and Debit card payments through our online booking system. Our booking system assures you of security and confidentiality. Bookings remain provisional and balances remain unpaid until payment has cleared.
A deposit of 20% is required to confirm the booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Should a booking be made less than 8 weeks from arrival date then full payment is required. The lead person must be at least 21 years of age at time of booking.
Restrictions on Rental
Elements of the Aurora experience may not be suitable for some guests with infants and small children. You should satisfy yourself prior to booking that this accommodation is suitable for your family group. Aurora only permits children aged 8 years and over to stay in the Log cabins.
Hot Tub use is solely for guests over 12 years of age. Due to the water depth of 0.9m in our tubs, a minimum height restriction of 1.2 m. will also apply to under 16s.
Accommodation at Aurora is restricted solely to within the Log Cabins themselves. Other forms of accommodation, camper vans, caravans etc. are not permitted.
There will also be a mandatory £200 Good Housekeeping deposit (against loss or damage), which is payable when the balance is due. The deposit will be returned within 7 days provided the cabin is left in a satisfactory and clean condition. A percentage of this deposit may be kept if extra cleaning is required.
Please contact us immediately should you be compelled to cancel your reservation and confirm this in writing. We strongly advise that you take out holiday/travel insurance to cover any loss incurred by yourself.
In all cases of cancellation the booking deposit will be forfeited. Should cancellation occur less than 8 weeks prior to the date on which the holiday begins, Aurora will seek to re-let for all or part of the booking period, and if successful, monies may be refunded, less the deposit.
In all cases of cancellation the Good Housekeeping (Loss and Damage) deposit will be refunded if previously paid.
Cancellation by Aurora
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was not available for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you an alternative stay at Aurora. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival and Departure
The cabins are available from 4pm on arrival day and should be vacated no later than 10.30am on the final day of your stay. Please advise us of your approximate arrival time prior to your stay.
The maximum occupancy for each cabin is 4, as stated on our website.
Respect of Fellow Occupants
We would ask all our guests to respect the occupants of the other cabin and to act at all times in a way that will not spoil or infringe on other peoples enjoyment. Aurora reserve the right to take appropriate action against anyone failing to act in a responsible manor. The owner and their representatives retain the right to enter the cabins at anytime.
No Smoking Policy
Aurora operates a no smoking policy anywhere inside the cabins, terraces or grassed areas.
Unfortunately we do not permit pets at Aurora.
Candles or their use are not permitted in the log cabins.
BBQ’S and Camp Fires
You are not permitted to make campfires. A BBQ is provided and should only be used on the site specifically designated for that purpose.
You are responsible for the cabin and are expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils etc must be left clean and tidy at the end of your holiday. You are also responsible for any breakages or damage to the cabin or its contents, or for any loss of equipment whilst being occupied by you. All such incidents must be notified to Aurora immediately.
No responsibility will be accepted by the owners for any personal injury to you or any member of your party. No liability will be accepted for accident or loss of, or damage to personal effects, baggage, car or any other item belonging to you or any member of your party whether arising from the negligence of the owner, his representatives or that of any tenant of Aurora. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your property and ensure your personal safety and that of your party.
If whilst on holiday you are not entirely satisfied with your cabin, you should contact Aurora immediately in order that we may attempt to resolve the problem. Failure to follow this procedure will make it impossible for us to put the matter right and may result in the loss or reduction of any rights you may have had in connection with your complaint. If after contacting Aurora you still feel the problem has not been resolved to your satisfaction, then you must put your complaint in writing to “The Proprietors” within fourteen days of your return from holiday.
Personal Information provided to Aurora will not be shared with any third party, nor do we store any credit card details.
Whilst Aurora will use their reasonable endeavours to ensure that the hot tub will be available during your stay, there may be occasions where the hot tub will not be available for use during your stay, due to maintenance repair and or incidents outside of our control. In the event the hot tub is not available for any part of your stay Aurora cannot held responsible for any disappointment caused nor will any refund partial or otherwise be given.
